Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadenis)
Squeezed out of the leaf of the plant, Aloe Vera oil has been traditionally used for skin care due to it’s healing and relieving properties.

Apricot Oil (Apricot Kernelate)
This oil is widely used especially to treat dry and wrinkled skin. It contains linoleic acid, omega6, vitamins, potassium and magnesium.

Bergamot Oil (Citrus Bergamia)
Taken from the rind of the fruit, bergamot has a sweet floral scent. Often used as a mood enhancer and to help cleanse oily skin.

Cacao Butter (Theobroma Cacao)
Cacao butter is made from roasting and grounding the beans of the cocoa tree. It contains vitamin E and numerous types of fatty acid making it a popular ingredient to use on the skin.

Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis)
Castor oil is produced from pressing castor beans. It contains vitamin E and essential fatty acids that, after being absorbed, exert a repairing, moisturizing effect on the skin. It is used as a base oil in our hand made soaps.

Cedarwood Atlas Oil (Cedrus Atlantica)
From the Atlas mountains of Morocco where the name is derived. Cedarwood Atlas oil comes from the bark of the Cedrus Atlantica tree. It’s rich, woody aroma is often used to combat stress and calm the nerves.

Cinnamon Oil (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum)
Cinnamon leaf oil is produced by steam distillation of the leaves. It has a warm, spicy fragrance and is often used to alleviate muscle aches and pains as well as help with dry skin.

Citric Acid
Naturally found in citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons and limes. Is used to help balance the PH in some of our products.

Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)
Coconut oil is sourced from the milk, meat and wick of the coconut fruit. An effective moisturiser, we use it as a base oil in our hand made soaps.

Dead Sea Salt
Packed with minerals which help cleanse and detoxify the skin. Dead sea salt has been used going back to ancient Egypt for it’s higher concentration of minerals than average sea salt.
E - Q

Eucalyptus Oil (Eucalyptus Globulus)
Native to Austailia, it is now grown widly around the UK. Eucalyptus can vary in size from a small shrub to a large tree. The leaves of the Eucalyptus tree are steam distilled to create it's essential oil.

Frankincense Oil (Boswellia Carteri)
Frankincense comes from the resin of the Boswellia Sacra tree. It has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine, cosmetics and as incense due to it’s therapeutic properties and unique scent.

Himalayan Salt
The Himalayan rock salt contains a significant amount of minerals which are responsible for the salt’s distinctive pink appearance. This includes elements as oxygen, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, manganese, potassium and zinc.

Kaolin Clay
Kaolin clay is a clay mineral. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing, it absorbs toxins.
It is often used in cosmetic treatments to alleviate skin problems.

Lavender Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia)
Taken from the Lavender flower, Lavender oil has compounds with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is more commonly used to help relieve anxiety, nervousness, stress, and insomnia.

Olive Oil (Olea Europaea)
Freshly pressed organic olive oil is used as a base oil in our hand made soaps due to it’s fantastic cleansing and moisturising properties.

Peppermint Oil (Mentha Piperita)
Steam distilled from the leaves of the mint plant. Peppermint has a strong, fresh, minty fragrance which is stimulating and refreshing. It is often used to help relieve coughs, bronchitis or nasal congestion.

Potassium Hydroxide
A very small amount is used in order to initiate saponification of the oils during the hot-press soap making process for liquid soap.
R - Z

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Steam distilled from the Rosemary shrub, it has a warm, woody scent. Thanks to its aroma, it has been used to help alleviate the symptoms of colds and flu, improve mental clarity, concentration and helps with memory retention.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)
Shea butter is a seed fat that is extracted from the nut of the Shea tree. It has great moisturising, hydrating and softening properties, which is why we use it as a base oil in our soaps.

Sodium Hydroxide
A very small amount is used in order to initiate saponification of the oils during the cold-press soap making process.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
Native to Australia, the oil is derived from the leaves of the tea tree. It has a lovely, woody aroma, which can help lift the atmosphere in any room. Also used in traditional remedies to help treat the skin due to it’s anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Water (Aqua)
Fresh water, distilled for extra purity.

Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga Dorata)
Ylang Ylang flourishes throughout Asia where it has been traditionally used to reduce anxiety, enhance mood and also as an aphrodisiac. The oil is steam distilled from the Ylang ylang flower and has a sweet, floral scent.
